Dr Jacqueline Cheong

Dr Jacqueline was born and raised in Sydney and at a young age had a passion for health and the wonders of how the human body worked. After attending a variety of work experience in the health field, she discovered chiropractic and was impressed by this unique, vitalistic healthcare profession that did not require the equipment and medications that most other healthcare did. Chiropractic relied purely on the natural healing potential of the body and a chiropractor’s ability to influence it by hand.
Graduating after 5 years of study at Macquarie University in Sydney with a Masters of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Chiropractic Science, Dr Jacqueline worked in Sydney before moving to the UK in 2010 to seek new challenges and experiences. After 6 years working in a busy community chiropractic clinic in the UK she returned home and in 2016 moved to practice and serve people in Dubbo and regional NSW for the last 3 years.
As a chiropractor, Dr Jacqueline specialises in the treatment of acute and chronic neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Her approach to care involves utilising treatment protocols consisting of a solid patient education, chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, exercise and stretch prescription, and lifestyle, ergonomic and postural advice. Dr Jacqueline's methods are highly effective in resolving pain, restoring function and maintaining long-term health for her patients. She loves caring for a wide variety of people from all walks of life- such as families, farmers, long-distance drivers, office workers, and athletes, and is passionate about helping her patients achieve their optimal health potential.

Dr Jacqueline has a wealth of clinical experience having worked in established chiropractic clinics for 3 years in Sydney and 6 years in the United Kingdom before moving to rural Australia in 2016 to provide health services in Dubbo and surrounds with clinics in Dubbo, Nyngan and Gilgandra.

Graduating after 5 years of study at Macquarie University in Sydney, with a Masters of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Chiropractic Science, Dr Jacqueline worked in 3 busy Sydney clinics, before being offered roles abroad in the UK, after which she passed the vigorous British board examinations. Working home and abroad has given Dr Jacqueline a diverse understanding of different practices, and communities.
Upon her return home after 6 years, Dr Jacqueline felt like there was more to Australia than the city life and decided to move to the country to experience the rural lifestyle and also help fulfill the need for health services in rural communities. She also needed to catch up on her Vitamin D!

After 4 years in country practice, she has made a home here in Dubbo and considers herself a local, establishing JC Chiropractic in 2020.

A dynamic chiropractor with a passion for holistic wellness with a diverse sporting background, Dr Leon brings a unique perspective to the table, driven by his fascination with the human body's remarkable ability to heal and thrive.

Dr Leon specialises in addressing a range of issues, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, posture, mobility, and nervous system balance. Drawing from his personal experiences in various sports like football, rugby league, and weight training, Dr Leon intimately understands the importance of proper body mechanics and injury prevention.​
"After experiencing my fair share of sports-related tweaks and spending countless hours in the physio's office during my youth, I delved into the intricate workings of the human body," says Dr Leon. "My journey led me to merge chiropractic principles with movement and mobility coaching, aiming to instill lasting improvements in my patients' lives. My ultimate goal is to empower individuals to move freely and function optimally."
Hailing from New Zealand, Dr Leon is a proud graduate of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic, where he honed his expertise before practicing in diverse locales such as Wellington, Adelaide, and rural South Australia. His clientele spans all age groups, from the elderly to pediatric patients and elite athletes, reflecting his commitment to inclusive and comprehensive care.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr Leon enjoys keeping up with Rugby league and UFC when he's not in the clinic, showcasing his dedication to both physical wellness and leisure activities.
Excited to join the Dubbo team, Dr Leon looks forward to leveraging his skills and passion to support the community in achieving their health and wellness goals!

Daniel has many years of business experience within the health industry, creating, and running his own aged care agency for the last 5 years. Daniel is in charge of coordinating and managing the smooth running of our chiropractic practice. Originally heralding from the UK, Daniel has worked closely with different patients and clients for over 18 years.
Daniel has a passion for helping people and ensuring that patients achieve the best possible results through treatment plans.

He has found working, and living in Australia to be a wonderful experience, especially rural Australia, coming from a close knit community himself.
